failing hope.....

I thought I did a pretty good job on my essays, a decent GMAT (700) and good workEx and extraCirr. But so far I've got no interview invites..... the reality is setting in
.
.
.
I'd thought that I would make it to 4-5 interviews and then into 1-3 schools. My applications must have had a major weakness, that all the schools picked up on. I'm intrigued and would really like to know what it was....

You certainly picked some excellent, and very hard to get into, programs. The process is not over yet, though, so keep hanging in there.

Worst case, I hope you are in a position to apply again next year. I am sure the lessons you learned this year will pay off. Applying in ealier rounds *may* help??

I have yet to lock in an admit, myself, so I certainly understand the anxiety.

Good luck!

Don't give up hope yet! There are some schools that send interview invites much later....

I know exactly how you feel when it comes to anticipating that "interview invite email". I, like you, thought I wouldnt get an invite at my top choice school (since forums have stated that invites have been sent out already to those in my area). I eventually got an invite and later an offer - SO JUST KEEP YOUR HEAD UP HIGH and DONT GIVE UP!! Don't listen to forums so much (they have a tendency to drive you insane).

Best of luck

I know that many applicants out there can sympathize right now with Designer imperfect, who writes about failing hope, after applying to an extremely competitive group of schools, and not yet receiving any interview invites. The key is “not yet”. There is still time, and it’s best to focus on the schools where you are able to interview - concentrate on what you can control right now.
